Case Study: Asia Aluminum Holdings Limited Project
Background
Asia Aluminum Holdings Ltd., a powerhouse in aluminum extrusion in the region, embarked on a groundbreaking project to build a new avant-garde platform, “Asia Aluminum Industrial City,” in Zhaoqing. This platform aims to facilitate future progressive business rollouts.
Crossover International was enlisted to design and set up an integrated platform, that not only meets current working requirements, but also offers flexibility and scalability to accommodate the future business development needs of the new factory in Zhaoqing. The project lasted for 2.5 years.
Implementation
Collect Source Data: At the onset, we gathered information from both technical and business areas. On the technical side, we collected hardware and software configuration settings. Given the large company size, we distributed questionnaires to employees to collect feedback and further demands regarding the current system.
Analysis of Current System
After analyzing the existing resources, we proposed and implemented the necessary network and hardware configurations for project management. We provided a comprehensive set of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions to improve the current business flow for Asia Aluminum.
Plan for New Systems
An integrated ERP system featuring platform orientation, integration, and humanness was developed.
Platform-oriented: Provides on-demand ERP solutions for the enterprise through business assignment, development, and operation.
Integration: Effectively incorporates a diversity of resources based on eight application areas, including financial management, HR, PDM, and third-party systems.
Humanness: Offers a people-oriented man-machine interface that facilitates convenient and fast enterprise business operations, helping operators master the software application smoothly.
Additionally, we improved the Business Process Management (BPM) system, which adjusts enterprise business flows, optimizing resource and management efficiency. The BPM system also monitors the implementation of business flows, providing real-time management for behavior analysis and original business flow correction.
Result
After the implementation of the integrated system, we continued to provide a full range of professional consultancy and maintenance services. Our outstanding work delivered significant advantages, such as cost reduction, increased operational efficiency, and improved business management for Asia Aluminum. The new integrated platform greatly facilitated operations in various fields. Shortly after its implementation, Asia Aluminum Holdings Ltd. became one of the successful vendors for the Grand Lisboa Hotel decoration project.
Case Study: Convoy Financial Services Ltd. Project
Background
Convoy Financial Services Ltd., a leading Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) in Hong Kong, specializes in providing professional financial planning consultation services. As the company expanded and the number of employees increased to nearly 1,000, Convoy authorized Crossover International as its in-house IT advisor to support its rapid business growth. The entire project lasted for 1.5 years.
Commission Calculation System (CCS)
The CCS developed for Convoy is highly user-friendly for all in-house financial consultants. This efficient and accurate system enables users to issue invoices in the correct format independently. It features a structural detector that alerts users to errors or incorrect inputs, enhancing accuracy and efficiency. Consultants can also trace their saved records easily, thanks to the system’s ability to maintain all generated commission reports.
PDA System (Internal Usage)
Given that Convoy’s financial consultants spend most of their time visiting clients and rarely stay at the office, the intra-PDA synchronizer plays a crucial role. This system acts as a bridge between the company and the financial consultants. When consultants synchronize their PDAs by connecting to company-owned PCs, both parties receive the latest news and client database updates simultaneously. The built-in security protective system prevents unauthorized PDA or PC access to internal data. Additionally, the PDA system includes an automatic expiry feature, requiring users to renew their program periodically.
Business Process Management (BPM)
After gathering employees’ opinions on financial planning services, risk management, asset allocation, retirement planning, and estate planning, we identified the need to strengthen the integration of working processes among departments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. We provided Convoy with methodologies for Business Process Management to address this need.
Expert in Website Development
Our new system not only offers IT support but also provides business assistant advice, significantly increasing file processing efficiency. It can estimate the full operational status and plan appropriate long-term solutions.
Result
Due to the excellent work performed by Crossover International, Convoy Financial Services Ltd. saw significant improvements in operation efficiency and effectiveness. As a result, Convoy decided to purchase three additional platforms, including an HR system, within the next nine months.
